The Colorado Springs Chiropractor To See, Dr. Jason Grundhouser
I didn’t experience a miracle, but I’ve seen them.
I was first adjusted after a football injury and I was very interested that the doctor could do so much with just his hands, and that he actually seemed concerned about me as a patient. I was always interested in science and the human body, so instead of going to school to be a medical doctor, I steered towards a more whole body approach.
I went to school at what was formerly called Northwestern Chiropractic College and is now called Northwestern Health Sciences University. I chose this school because it was close to my friends and family and where I grew up. Also it was nice to have support group while going through the entire schooling process. Going through school definitely gave me a better understanding and appreciation of what chiropractic could accomplish beyond what I had experienced.
My goal has always been to treat people like I would want to be treated, like an individual and not a number. I also feel that using as many techniques as I can learn to help people achieve health is a good way to treat a wider spectrum of patients because everyone reacts differently to particular things. I feel that patients with an open mind to new approaches to healing, mature patients and athletes are nurtured well with my personality. Things in practice that are fulfilling to me are the relationship that is forged between the patients, and changing their mindset to something that is more healthy.
I have been married to my wife, Grace, for 2 years and we met at a previous clinic that we both worked at in Louisiana. We have two little Pomeranians that are basically our children. My passion outside of work is cycling, both road and mountain. In the last year I have converted my mountain bike into a single speed (no gear changing), and is my new favorite thing. Besides that, my wife and I read, watch movies, go for walks and bike rides when we have the opportunity.
I do my best to get adjusted once a week or once every 2 weeks. I do need to incorporate more muscle work and maybe acupuncture along with the adjustments. I shoot for 4-5 workouts during the week, usually on the bike, but I will do the incline and hiking as well. My wife is not quite as dedicated to working out as me; because I have always been athletic, it is easier for me. Grace does get adjusted at least once a week, if not twice. My personal approach to vaccines and antibiotics is that they have their place for certain people and for certain reasons. I do feel that vaccines don’t work as well as people claim and that we should focus on increasing our health so we get sick naturally, instead of getting sick due to a shot. Antibiotics also have their place and do save a lot of people, but when misused they can also create a lot of problems with antibiotic resistance.
I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health concerns. Give our office a call to see how chiropractic care can help you.
